A private residence in Wetumpka that houses children whose mothers are incarcerated at the Julia Tutwiler Prison for women. The Adullam House provides all the needs for these children to include food, home schooling, and a Christian-based family atmosphere. Currently there are 28 children at the Adullam House ranging from 5 weeks to 15 years old. GBP provides various drives for the Adullam House throughout the year. |
This is an on-going project to collect no-value college textbooks that the bookstore won't buy back. Better World Books partners with colleges to run book drive campaigns to benefit literacy. GBP will earn a scholarship of 50 cents per book collected and qualifies for national scholarship awards. |
Previous Projects
On October 28, 2006 the State Service Project was held at the Nellie Burge Community Center in Montgomery, AL. The volunteers helped paint, do yard work, and basically anything else that needed to be done.
